Stunning amethyst series 62 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. This 1956 DeVille 2door Hardtop is an excellent example of prestige and styling of a Cadillac in the mid 50s. The beautiful design of the infamous Harley Earl is visible from every angle. Chrome, chrome and more chrome, luxury status and massive in both size and weight (4500lbs). Standard with features such as power steering, power brakes, power windows and power seats as well as a 12-Volt electrical system and auto-headlight dimmer. The exterior of this CDV is better than average. The factory color of Dawn Gray (code 16) has been refinished over a decade ago and looks great. The factory colored dark gray top was also refinished as well. The body panels are all rust free, original and super straight. Most of its chrome has been redone and look great but there are a few pieced that are original and have not been redone. The entire front grille is beautiful as are the major pieces of the rear bumper. The interior is all original and in great shape for its age. The back portion of the leather seats show their age but overall, the interior looks good. All gauges work properly and everything works except the radio. The engine is a great running 365ci V8 with 285hp and its original Carter 4bbl. The car starts, drives and stops like a Cadillac should. This CDV loves to cruise on the open road.
